Minutes for Banquet

Banquet:

Gave awards of merit, prizes for points, slideshow of baby pictures and memories from the year. We also presented DeLaina with a collage and card of thanks for all of her hard work the past two and a half years. Ordered mexican food, ate it, talked, etc.


PVSA Award Ceremony:

Relocated to Draper City Hall. Mayor Smith swore in new DYC officers and advisors, Greg Hughes presented all PVSA awards. Many pictures taken. Congratulations to all individual and family winners and congratulations to DYC for receiving the group gold service award with over 4,000 hours of service this year!

Banquet.. Tomorrow! (April 13th)

This is a reminder that the Banquet is tomorrow! 5:00 at La Hacienda in Draper. Wear nice clothes because we will be going to the city hall after.

The mayor is coming to award the scholarships. So be prepared! Ha see you all there.

Easter Egg Success

The Easter Egg Hunt was a success!!

Draper City Easter Egg Hunt

Wendy and I walked the park this afternoon. The grass is soaked and still has snow on it. So we have two plans:

Be there BEFORE 8 am. Wendy and I will arrive a little earlier to figure the set up.

Plan A: Use cement pad under basketball hoops and Northeast parking lot to lay eggs. Pat will block it off in morning.

Plan B: Blizzard and too much snow on parking lot. Use Pavilion. We can do a circle of eggs for small kids, then after they pick those up lay out eggs for next age group.

We have four different age groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12

We will have hot cocoa and bagels for helping.

Job duties before egg hunt:

-Get Prize table ready (we have over 200 prizes)

-Get fundraiser table ready (just selling a couple baskets)

-Get face painting set up...need people to face paint

-Get cookie table set up (kids can take free cookies and decorate with frosting and sprinkles)

-lay out Easter eggs and candy

-Easter bunny gets dressed



Job duties right before hunt and during:

-Several helping at prize table

-One person at fundraiser table (can help with prizes too)

-One person at cookie table

-Several helping with face painting

-One Easter Bunny

-One person at each age section hold the ages sign and making announcements.

-One person handing out coupons



We have the fire truck to blow the horn and police on duty. We will have four balloon artists too.
