Leadership Activity
We decided the top ten words to describe a good leader include :
Attitude, Trust, Confidence, Action, Inspire, Commitment, Experience, Team, Respect and Passion.
Pick an attribute and work on it this summer while we are on a short summer break.

After deciding on words, there were two team builder activities.
First was standing up with a partner back to back increasing until the whole group stood up.
Second was like telephone but with drawings on the backs of people.

The next DYC activity is not until July (after 5Ks) for the Children's Day Parade/Draper Days

Minutes for May 4

Activities:

Fun Run/Memorial Day Race

The Fun Run is May 22 at 7:00 am that's a Saturday. The ten volunteers that signed up will help with pre-registration and whatever else needs help.

The Memorial Day 5K is May 29 also at 7:00 am on a Saturday. The ten volunteers that signed up for this even will help pass out water.

Remember: If you signed up to volunteer, you MUST be there or find a replacement. If you don't, it will have to be counted as an unexcused absence.

DYC Yard of the Week

New program we are doing this summer. Looking for three more people for the committee, this entails spending one Saturday a month looking and judging yards etc. Contact Sam Wright if you are interested at samanthaswright@live.com

Guest Speaker Todd Farris

Todd Farris talked about taking action on a daily basis to make someone's day better. Talked about 'hugging right' and gratitude rocks.
