YAY FOOD DRIVE!!! :D

The Food Bank picked up the food today from the drive!! YAY!!! We had 15 full barrels! If you were unable to get your food in by yesterday (some businesses were closed like Yoga Path and the Ark) then drop those barrels/boxes off to my house and we'll weigh it and take it over to the food bank. Text me if you need my address.
THANKS EVERYONE!!!! You guys are awesome!!! We are Draper and don't you forget it! :)

Correction and Apology!!!

I am sorry for the confusion on my part! Scholarship applications are due Tuesday the 21st, I messed up. The application states the third Tuesday of December, which is the 21st. Again, turn them into an advisor or to City Hall.

It's a good thing Samantha Wright is smart and knows what is going on!

FOOD DRIVE DUE TUESDAY AT 4

Hey Guys!! So on TUESDAY BY FOUR PM you need to have your barrel or box at VF Factory's back room. By 4 pm Tuesday, you've got to get your barrel or box out of the business, whether it has food or not (don't throw it in the business' garbage/recycle, that doesn't look good). Then, text, email, or call me and tell me that it's done, mission accomplished :)

Scholarship Applications are Due Tuesday!

This is a reminder the last day to turn in your scholarship applications to either an advisor or to City Hall is TUESDAY, DECEMBER 21st.

DYC on Tuesday!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your break from school.

For DYC this Tuesday, we are finishing the food drive and having fun. Please be sure to deliver your food to VF Factory Mall before 4:00 PM Tuesday. Thanks to everyone who has helped with the food drive, you are incredible!

We will have our meeting from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in the Draper City Hall Chambers. We are going to play games, have a White Elephant exchange, and a cookie exchange. Please bring 1 dozen cookies to share and a white elephant gift that has either been previously loved or cost no more than $3.00 to buy.

It is going to be a great time. Marianne has great ideas for really fun games to play together. If you have friends who may be interested in joining DYC, feel free to have them join in the fun.

As always, if you are not able to make it, either let Samantha Wright or Sierra Maughan know in advance, or post in the comments of this blog.

All clothing belong to the Draper Arts Council, and we need to return them in good condition.

take it to the VF Factory Outlet--they have a spot for us in their back room.
All the employees know who we are and what's going on so just ask if you aren't sure.
Either put your food in one of the barrels there, or stack it nearby.

Miss Draper 2011

Hello everyone,

The Draper Paper had an announcement regarding the Miss Draper 2011 and Miss Draper Outstanding Teen 2011. We have many incredible ladies on DYC, so I thought I would pass this along.

"If you are a young women between the ages of 13 and 24, never married, have a permanent residence in Draper of at least 6 months, or a full time student, or are a full time employee of 40 hours per week; we are now taking applications. Applications can be found at www.draper.ut.us/missdraper. Mail all applications to Deborah Symes/Miss Draper Scholarship Executive Director with a $75.00 application fee to 1656 E. Red Tree Court, Draper, UT 84020."

It's that time again.. time to get ready for an end of year banquet which means scholarships!
Check your email to get a Membership guide which contains the scholarship application on pages 24-26.

Remember: All applications need to be turned in to an Advisor or to the City Hall no later than December 20th.

Utah Food Bank on Tuesday!!!

Hi Everyone!

It was great to see everyone at Christmas in the Heart of Draper. You all did a wonderful job with the children, stations, etc. Thank you!!

This Tuesday, December 7th, we are scheduled to go to the Utah Food Bank. We will meet at City Hall at 5:30 PM and leave no later than 5:40 PM. Levi's mom, Stefania, is bringing a 17 passenger van to help get us there. Thank you!

We will return to City Hall by 7:45'ish.
