One Step Camp on Monday!
Meet at City Hall at 4:30PM, leaving right at 4:45PM

Hello DYC!

For everyone who signed up to help at the One Step Camp on Monday, please meet at City Hall at 4:30PM to load up food, and people into cars. We will leave right at 4:45PM.

Due to the high interest level and the limited adults going, we may need one or two youth to drive as well. If you are able to drive, we will cover your gas! Please let me know if you are able to drive.

I look forward to seeing everyone Monday night. We will NOT have DYC on Tuesday night.

Next Week

Okay Members, here's what's going on for next tuesday. We need to meet at the Wentworth at 5:45 P.M. so be there right on time. We will be playing Bingo with the residents there so bring your game face! :D and also remember to bring your office papers if you want to run for office. Thanks guys and hope to see you there!

Upcoming Events for February and March

At our last meeting we voted on some big changes for DYC, namely capping the size, moving to a calendar year schedule, and appointing the mayor. Here is the timeline events over the next few weeks as we restructure things according to your vote.

Feb. 9: Ballot Petitions-youth are given leadership descriptions and determine which one(s) they would like to apply for.

Gilly and Joey have a leadership activity planned for 30-35 minutes tonight.

Feb. 16: meet AT the Wentworth at 5:45, and come prepared to sing, decorate cookies, do hand massages, chat and reminisce with our friends at the Wentworth for our Third Annual Valentines Event at the Wentworth.

Your Ballot petitions are due to DeLaina by 6:45 on Feb. 16. No late petitions will be accepted.

Feb. 20: (SATURDAY) Mayor candidate interviews

Feb. 22: (MONDAY) One Step Camp Meet at City Hall at 4:45, and see details in previous post.

Feb. 23: (TUESDAY) NO DYC, Mayor interviews potential officers for Mayor Pro Tem, Secretary and PIO/Historian, District Leaders, and organizes other leadership positions.

Mar. 2: Intro new officers/leadership positions/calendar for Mar, Apr, May and summer

Mar 9: ?

Mar 16: Workshop Prep for USU

Mar 18-20: USU Leadership Conference

One Step Camp

A big "thank you" to everyone who signed up to help with the One Step Camp on Monday, February 22nd it is going to be great! After reading over the requirements again, I think we need to leave a bit sooner than originally expected. They are asking that the dinner be ready to serve at 6:00 PM. Since the camp is in Park City, and we can't know what the weather will be, we will need to plan to leave at 4:45 PM from City Hall.

Right now, I am the only advisor scheduled to go, so I will need some of you to volunteer to drive. If you are able to drive, please let me know tonight, post it here in the comments, or just give me a call. Thanks!

2009 Year in Review

Utah State University Conference

Do you plan on going to the conference? The dates are March 18-20. We leave city hall Thursday after school and arrive back at city hall around 1pm on Saturday. If you didn't receive a packet to fill out and would love to attend please email your advisor: Amy Baird at amyemail@aol.com. I will email you packet. This needs to be filled out and signed by yourself and your PARENT ASAP. There is no cost for you attend. Transportation, food, and hotel accomidations will be paid.

Please bring all your signed forms tomorrow night at youth council.
